Katie's Flat (Fast) Stanley

Katie's started a project at school this spring in which she sent out Flat Stanley to family and friends and they had to take him around with them and tell the story of his vacation. She sent one to my sister in Chicago. Flat Stanley did some fun things with her, riding the train to downtown, seeing the big buildings, going to a play and the tour of the big town of Lockport where she lives. She also sent one to my dear college friend Julie in South Florida. Julie and her family took Stanley around but his favorite part was the beach! Stanley came back with sea shells, a t- shirt for Katie and a star fish! Stanley had a great time at Lois' and at Julie's houses.

Now my husband who is a HUGE drag racing fan talked with Katie about Flat Stanley and if she would like to send one to his friend who was going to the drag races that spring. Katie was very excited and said he could be FAST Stanley. Well my hubby's friends took Stanley to the races, and actually put him in the race cars when they raced! Katie was so excited she made a drag racing newsletter and now FAST stanley has his own blog!

When school was out a couple of weeks ago my hubby took the kids to the drag races in Joliet, IL. Katie had a great time thanking the races who took FAST Stanley drag racing!
