What a day. I was at a conference all day. While people were speaking I was looking out the 12 foot windows at all of the snow that was falling. It snowed all day. I couldn't believe that the kids had school but we do live in Michigan. On my way home from the conference my wind shield wipers decided to freeze up and not work. I called my husband and said come now and save me! Of course he got them to work and drove the beast home.
My clinicals were cancelled so my students had a snow day. Being the instructor that I am they do have an assigment due tomorrow. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!
Today is Ash Wednesday and I went to church at 6:30pm. My kids and husband went to 9 am mass so I had to go all by myself:( It is good and bad to go to church all by myself. I don't have to tell the kids to behave but I do enjoy going as a family. I recently switched my work nights to Fri/Sun so now we can start going to mass together on Sun morning.
Lent. What do I want to sacrifice for God. The kids came home today and S said what she is doing for lent is "not going to fight with her sisters" that lasted about 5 minutes when I heard someone yell "why did you throw that at my head". K said she isn't going to watch TV. Yet when I was cooking dinner, if you count boiling water and throwing in pasta cooking, it was very quiet in the front room. Yes that is because someone turned on the TV and everyone was watching PBS......so much for sacrifice.
